Plug your USB Drive into a host computer. After 401Surf Privacy Tunnel launches and detects
an Internet connection Click on [Connect Tunnel] After connection click on Start [Firefox Web
Browser] Enter your Login and password you receive after
signup Enjoy your privacy on the Internet.
- You do not have to configure anything, no complicated security keys to
install, no complicated scripts to execute. Our program has been specially
designed for the average computer user who is not familiar with a lot of the
complicated settings it takes to establish an encrypted internet tunnel.
- Take a test run! The account setup and download should take less than
10 minutes. You will need an empty USB drive with at least 64Mb capacity. USB
version 2 is recommended for better speed.
- You can buy a good USBv2.0 drive for less than $ 20.- at your nearest
computer store.
The DEMO software does NOT use the SSH tunnel but it has the Firefox web
browser and gives you an idea how it works. You can upgrade your copy of the
program any time from your demo account. After we activate the account you have
instant secure web browsing available.
Here is how it works in more detail:
After you installed the program on
an USB drive the program launches on most computers automatically and tests if
an internet connection is available.
If the connection is OK it notifies the user that it is ready to connect the
Secure Tunnel. When the user clicks on the [Connect Tunnel] button the SSH
tunnel is established with our server in Florida. Now you can launch the
Firefox Webbrowser which is packaged with our program and you can enjoy totally
anonymous internet browsing. All data between the Firefox Web browser and our
Florida Server are encrypted. Your Internet Service provider cannot see what you
are doing or monitor your activities. Normally your Internet Service Provider
keeps logs of all your activities and keeps those logs for years. In many
countries this is the law! However with the tunnel system active the log files
cannot identify the content or any activities.
All websites you visit via The Privatizer will
record that you originate from the server in Florida and they cannot identify
your home IP Address
 which
could compromise your privacy, furthermore there are no files written to
your local hard disk or computer. This system makes sure that there are no traces
of your activity left on the host machine after you disconnect.
Furthermore the server in Florida is hardened against attack
with sophisticated firewalls so your local computer is disconnected from the web
and it is almost impossible to infiltrate the local machine with this setup.
